Welcome to Glansevern Guest House. On the A44, four miles west of the village of Llangurig, the GLANSEVERN commands a superb location on the banks of the river Wye. This former 3 star Hotel is over 200 years old, with large rooms and high ceilings; all bedrooms are en-suite and the lounge boasts a cosy log fire with comfortable chairs and sofas. The property is full of character and has a nice ambience.

Glansevern is situated amid the glorious scenery of the Cambrian mountains at the foot of the third highest mountain in Wales, Plynlimon. The property has one mile of private fishing rights and is within easy reach of Clywedog, Nant-y-Moch and Elan Valley resevoirs. It is nineteen miles inland from the coastal resort of Aberystwyth.

Family run, Glansevern is a wonderful homely base for any trip to this stunning and beautiful part of Mid-Wales. During the summer, it can be fun to spend time by the river, swimming, camping and having BBQ's. Further up the river we have the Pantmawr Falls which are very picturesque. We are only 1/2 mile from Sweet Lamb Rally Stages and 14 miles from the international shooting ground at Trefeglwys.

Livery Facilities

The property is set in 70 acres and is used as a working farm by the owners. There are excellent livery facilities on site so you would be welcome to bring your own horse/pony (at an extra charge). The owners have horses of their own so there is plenty of experience on site.

		With use of the forestry on the doorstep, there are miles of riding and carriage driving without even going on the main road.
		The area is also noted for it's walking.
		Mountain Biking at Rhayader (16 miles) or Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian (8 miles).
		Both Rhayader and Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian are famous for their Red Kite feeding centres, where the public can watch them feeding.
